Admission Process
- Meet all requirements.
- Complete an informational interview with an Admissions Representative to learn about NCA and discuss academic, artistic, and professional goals. This interview can be done in person or by phone.
- Submit all application materials outlined under “admissions requirements.” An Application for Admissions form can be requested from an Admissions Representative at 360-779-9993 or by going to the Apply Now page.
- After all application materials are received, the application will be evaluated by the NCA Review Committee. The Committee may determine more information is necessary from the applicant (i.e. additional essay, artwork, etc.) in order to make a determination for enrollment.
- Complete an interview on campus with the Review Committee.
- A letter of acceptance or denial will then be sent to each applicant. Shortly thereafter, a financial packet will be sent to accepted students outlining payment plans and financial aid programs available. A $150 tuition deposit is due 10 days after receipt of the financial packet.
- After the applicant completes their desired financial plan an enrollment agreement will be completed and sent to the applicant for signature. A $100 registration fee is due at this time.
- Art kits are ordered in the summer.
- If the applicant is a high school student, a final copy of their official transcript outlining a graduation date and cumulative GPA must be sent to NCA. Applicants will not be allowed to begin the program until this information has been submitted.
- Upon receipt of the enrollment agreement and registration fee, NCA will create and send the applicant a class schedule.
- The applicant will be required to attend orientation on campus.
Applicants for admission may enroll in person or by mail or online. Advising is provided at the application interview and throughout the program. Throughout the year, we offer enrollment to qualified applicants in the order in which their applications are accepted and their tuition deposits submitted. Applications submitted after the July 15 deadline will be considered for the next year. Send all application materials to:
